So what is the difference between a vendor and supplier partner?

A vendor supplies products. Examples are; when at a sports or entertainment venue and you buy; soda, beer, food or candy.

Suppliers are enterprises providing goods and services that are recognizable to you as the customer.

Supplier Partners work hand in hand with the customer to jointly solve problems and to reduce the total cost of ownership.

Are you stuck in the vendor rut? Shift your frame of focus and start working with your suppliers as partners.

How do you start? Become reflective and outline the likes and dislikes of your current customer relationships. This is an excellent road map that incorporates your core values and corporate identity.
